The Beginning of Your Faith to Conceive

Infertility feels so physical, like your own body is betraying you, so you're probably wondering how to even believe God for children. While what you're experiencing might seem lonely and devastating, it's necessary to know where to even begin in your faith. How do you even start to move beyond your emotions and trust God for the impossible?

Well, a great man of faith, F.F. Bosworth, said, "Faith begins where the will of God is known." One of the most pivotal moments in my faith was when I realized I wasn't alone on my journey to conceive. In fact, I was member of a legacy of faith women who stood along side their faith men believing God for the impossible. What was even more pivotal in my faith growing and maturing in this area, was knowing, according to Romans 2:11, that God showed no partiality towards His children. He never plays favorites, and what He did for them, He would certainly do for us. And what He did for us, He'll certainly do for you! I learned that it was certainly God's will for us to be parents. I had written, documented proof of this truth, and no one could deny me what was mine, just like no one can deny you what's yours. Even more, I knew that my God had not changed His mind. I knew that He was the same yesterday, today, and forever!

“...God showed no partiality towards His children. He never plays favorites, and what He did for them, He would certainly do for us. And what He did for us, He'll certainly do for you!

God's will is His Word, so my faith had to begin with getting His Word concerning the matter. I had to identify all the moments in His Word where women were childless and barren and He had healed their physical bodies and blessed them to conceive. One of the best books I ever read, Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Mize, referenced every single one of these women's experiences. I read it from cover to cover the day it came in the mail, and then I read it all over again. My faith was amped! My faith strategy was shaping up, and I was all in!

How Can You Increase Your Faith Now?

I hope that my own story has already started to increase your faith in this area. But, if you need a little more direction, you don't have to go far. The book of Genesis alone highlights 3 women, Sarai or Sarah, Rebecca, and Rachel, who were challenged with infertility, but God opened their wombs and they bore children. There are also others throughout both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Beyond that, the Bible is full of scriptures promising fruitfulness starting as early as the Garden of Eden when God commanded them to "be fruitful and multiply".

So get God's will concerning this area of your life. Don't call yourself infertile when God has already called your seed blessed. Change your mind, change your speech, and change your actions concerning your ability to have children. God is not against you, but He's on your side! Shake off doubt, and fear, and depression, and know that the MIGHTY ONE, is simply waiting on you to believe Him for the impossible. Now friend, I call you fruitful, because God says that you are!
